coming from regions further north the armour-clad came from early stages in human evolution, instead growing a metal insect like shell made of iron.Being covered in metal they are naturally stronger and larger than most creatures, but are less quick and dexterous as well. Due to them being covered in metal they have a natural resistance to slashing or cutting  attacks but are more weak to blunt damage.
