Homebrew Apidian Species Details
Apidians, often called "bee folk," are humanoid creatures resembling bees. They are smaller than most humanoids, standing between 3 and 4 feet tall and weighing around 40 to 60 pounds. Their bodies are covered in fine, fuzzy hairs that are typically golden, brown, or black, often in striped patterns. They have large, multifaceted eyes that grant them keen vision, and their delicate wings shimmer with iridescence.
Apidians have two antennae protruding from their foreheads, which they use to communicate with each other and sense their surroundings. Their hands and feet are dexterous, ending in small, claw-like tips that help them grasp and manipulate objects. Despite their insect-like appearance, their faces are expressive, capable of a wide range of emotions.
Apidian society is highly structured and communal, with each individual playing a specific role in the hive. They value cooperation, hard work, and loyalty above all else. Every Apidian is expected to contribute to the well-being of the hive, whether through gathering resources, defending the hive, or caring for the young.
