Homebrew Worgen Species Details

Worgen hail from the land of Nightvale, a land of dark forests and haunting creatures. They once were human, before a curse turned them all into the beasts they are today. Thankfully they retained their humanity and still live as everyday humans just with Werewolf power. Since they were once human Worgen are know to masters of any trade, and live their lives in peace with not only the other humans, but the more monstrous races in their lands. Rumor has it if a Worgen is in your party and you enter through a dark forest or any place of darkness all enemies tremble before the Worgen for they are the masters of the darkness and have learned how to over come and defend the lands from evil and dark forces. Even the beasts known as Werewolves will not challenge a Worgen, unless they wish for a quick death. The Worgen follow a king by the name of Kalzar Edritch, the first Worgen to ever save his humanity from the curse by creating a potion called the Werebreaker. After his recovery Kalzar hunted down any who were infected by the curse and healed their humanity. As the years went on the Worgen people began to grow and eventually they made the large city of Moon Hollow, the largest city in Nightvale. Afterward the Worgen people created a hunting corp. known as the Night Stalkers, a large force of Worgen who dedicate their lives to freeing other Worgen's humanity, slaying evil creatures like undead, evil witch's or warlocks, and just over all keeping Nightvale a safe place to live. Rumor goes that if a Worgen is in your party, even the darkest and vilest of places will bend it's knee to the King's and Queen's of the Night.

Worgen Traits

Worgen have excellent night vision, can hear the faintest breath on the wind, and sniff out a week old blood trail. They are masters of any trade and pride themselves on quality of quantity. Being cursed they have turned the darkness of the lands into their advantage.

Ability Score Increase

With their human ancestry Worgen gain a +1 to all their abilities since they come from all walks of life. However after their curse they learned to become masters of their arts and gain another +1 to their abilities, giving them a total of +2 to all abilities.

Darkvision

With the power of their curse, the Worgen have the ability to see up to 60ft in pitch black darkness as if it was broad daylight.

Blood Hunter

Thanks to the Curse placed upon the Worgen they have the ability to track any sent for miles. This ability give you +2 to Investigation, Perception, and Insight checks as a base increase.
