Homebrew Cazataur Species Details

Once a barbaric nomadic  race Cazataurs roamed the lands killing everything in sight. The church’s and religious temples rounded them up and forced them into deep  Chasms in the underdark. Eventually new generations were born and the barbaric side of them was cast out under the reforms of the religious. They rehabilitated them until they were viewed as civil enough for the society. Most of them stayed aligned with the churches and temples and became loyal fighters for them. Some however rebeled and formed their own society. Those who stayed with the church and temples are viewed as good where as those who rebeled have a tendency to be evil. 

 

They are huge hoven creatures covered in a thick dense fur that doubles as armor. Their large curved horns at the top of their heads double as deadly weapons. Fur ranges from light brown to pure black. It is said the darker the fur the more evil they are. Their curved claws are razor sharp.

Hardened skin

When a Cazataur is born it’s skin is extremely thick skin that is almost as strong as armor!  As they age the skin gets harder and harder

 

 

Superior Darkvision

spending their entire lives underground they have devolved superior dark vision and some vision in complete darkness

Diluted vision

spending their lives underground has diluted their vision as now they can only see in shades grey, white, black 

Honored horns

one of the things carried over from their nomadic days are the extremely sharp almost unbreakable horns upon their heads that can be used as weapons

Axe Proficiency

When a Cazataur uses a Battle Axe and Greataxes as they are weapons Cazataurs train with since the moment they are able to pick up a weapon 

Ability score increase

Being super strong naturally the Cazataurs have a natural bonus to their strength

Due to being breed and trained by the church they have an automatic bonus to any religion check

Being part beast they have a natural bonus to survival checks

Class/ Weapon Restrictions

Being raised as warriors for the church they are limited the following classes only

• Barbarian
• Fighter
• Paladin

WEAPON RESTRICTIONS

Only the following weapons may be used

• battle axe
• war hammer
• greataxe
• ball and chain
