Homebrew Canisk Species Details

Canisk are a bipedal, wolf-like species with sleek, fur-covered bodies ranging in color from deep blacks to whites. They stand between 5'6 feet to 6'1 feet tall, with a lean build. Their faces are strikingly lupine, with sharp, expressive eyes and a pronounced snout. They have fixed claws on their four fingered hands, a secondary set of eyes designed for seeing in the darkness, strong unguligrade legs, and a small tail that mainly aids in communication more than balance.

The golden retrievers of the inhabitants of Cassodia; canisk are commonly extroverted and often enjoy interacting with other species, with humans being their favorite. Canisk often encourage many to visit their homeworld or set up sector wide celebrations and charities, they also try tirelessly to get humans to be more cordial with other species. As of this current age, the canisk have been close allies with humans for centuries, having met in 2046. They had been the ones to help humans reach outside of their solar system, by happily giving away shift drives to humanity and helping in designing shift capable ships. Due to their long history and excellent standing, the canisk are currently the only alien species allowed to permanently live on human colonies and even on Eden itself. Canisk have also extended generally the curtesy to humanity, albeit much more than necessary. To the point of offering slots to run for canisk presidency, which the Federation of Humanity has respectfully declined. Canisk also have great standing with many other species, however humanity is still their biggest allies, despite how standoffish humans normally are.

The canisk are currently aiding humanity with the war against the deltonians, despite having a guaranteed chance to stay out of the fighting, having declared that they will stand by their human allies to whatever outcome of the war. They are lovers and as such, poor fighters; but the canisk love humanity too much to let them face things alone.
