Homebrew Vulstus Species Details
In the hills of Escaldia, an empire of legendary proportions rules the land. Tales of heroic warriors, righteous leaders, and buildings so imposing and massive that they are beyond compare. This is the kingdom of Falnine, home of the Vulstus.
The Vulstus are distant cousins of the Luchis, but there are many differences. Both are foxfolk, but the similarities end there. Where Luchis are raised from birth to be cunning and ruthless, Vulstus pride themselves on integrity and honor. Their entire culture centers around the Three Ideals: Honor, Integrity, and Valor. Each of these is represented by a deity (two gods and a goddess, respectively), and most Vulstus follow these ideals with near cultlike dedication. This clan-like structure of loyalty has allowed the Vulstus to build up an imposing, centuries-old empire known far and wide. One might think that this embedding of such values into the core of Vulstian culture would make them peace-loving creatures.
One would also be wrong.
War is entrenched into Vulstian blood almost as deeply as their code of honor, and it is difficult to find a single Vulstian family that does not have at least three or more generations of soldiers. For a Vulstian, no distinction is as great as having one's name etched into the Obelisk of Valor, a towering obelisk located in the imposing capital of Falnine, Zistan. On it are hundreds of thousands of names, each one a Vulstian warrior who proved themselves in battle. There is a saying: "One can kill a Vulstian's family, salt his fields, and burn his home. It is impossible to destroy his spirit."
Vulstians mature to adulthood at the same rate as humans but live twice as long. They are between 5 and 7 feet in height. Your size is Medium.
