Homebrew Xiopan Species Details
Hailing from far off jungles and deep within the mountains, both in the Material Plane and the Feywild, there lies a large society of race of beings known as the Xiopan, also known as the panda-folk. While many dismiss them as nothing more than panda bears, a closer look reveals them to be intelligent, peaceful creatures. They share many similarities to the panda, including the patchwork black and white fur. The Xiopan, however, are bipedal and tend to wear ornately-designed clothing, unlike the traditional panda bear.
Gentle Giants
Despite their size and stature, Xiopan are remarkably kind and social creatures. Some Xiopan even travel to far off land and join long adventures for the simple reason of making friends. While others may prefer the traditional culture of Xiopan society within their clan.
Masters of Chi
The Xiopan have mastered chi, an ancient and mystical energy believed to reside in all living things. While chi can be found in nearly any realm, the Xiopan seem to be the first to realize and hone its existence. They say that they control and attune with chi by calming the mind, letting go of inner turmoil, and unlocking inner peace. Chi itself can manifest in a variety of ways, and the Xiopan have 3 special ways to utilize it within their clan society.
Three Great Clans
The Xiopan society is made up of three distinct clans: the Long Clan, the Lianhua Clan, and the Jingshen Clan. Each clan has their own special utilization of chi within the greater Xiopan culture. The Long Clan are warriors, using chi for mastery in attacks and defense. The Lianhua Clan are healers, using their chi for healing the sick and injured. The Jingshen Clan are spellcasters, using their chi to cast a variety of spells to aid their allies. The Three Great Clans of the Xiopan live together, working side-by-side in peace and harmony for the greater good and survival of the species.
