Homebrew Tabaxi Sphynxes Species Details

Tabaxi Sphynx Subrace

Ability Score Increase:
Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.

Hairless Resilience:
Your thick, leathery skin provides natural protection. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.

Sun's Blessing:

You have an innate connection to sunlight, which enhances your physical and magical abilities. While in direct sunlight, you gain the following benefits:

• Sunlit Strength: You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls with weapon attacks.
• Desert Mirage: You can create an illusionary mirage to disorient your foes. Once per long rest, while in an arid or desert environment, you can cast Blur on yourself without expending a spell slot or material components. The effect resembles the shimmering heat waves of the desert, making it difficult for enemies to focus on you.
• Sun's Clarity: When you finish a long rest in direct sunlight, you gain advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened for the next 24 hours. Additionally, you have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made to see creatures or objects in bright light for the next 24 hours.

Keen Intuition:
You have proficiency in the Insight skill. You also gain proficiency in one of the following skills: Perception, Religion, or Medicine. Your ability to read the environment and those within it is nearly unmatched.

Desert Born:
You are naturally adapted to hot climates, as described in chapter 5 of the Dungeon Master's Guide. You have advantage on saving throws against exhaustion caused by extreme heat. Additionally, you can go twice as long as usual without food or water.

Silent Prowler:
You have proficiency in the Stealth skill. Your movements are nearly soundless, allowing you to approach your prey or enemies unnoticed. You can move at full speed while sneaking without imposing disadvantage on your Stealth checks.

Mystical Senses:
You have advantage on saving throws against illusions and on checks to discern the true nature of an illusion. You can cast the Detect Magic spell once per long rest without expending a spell slot, using Wisdom as your spellcasting ability.

Languages:
You can speak, read, and write Common, Tabaxi, and one additional language of your choice.
