Homebrew Demoran Species Details

 Demora was once a land rife with zealous faith in ancient and primordial gods who existed long before the world itself. However, after a long twenty year war with Aeverious, it had fallen to ruin until they earned their freedom hundreds of years later during the Second Great War for Elysium.

 Demorans are looked down upon for their brutality, they fight like wild animals, using tooth and claw in addition conventional weapons and even the very terrain itself. To a Demoran, a battle is a hunting ground, you must be the predator, or you will be prey. The or soldiers train to leap between the trees and hide within crevices, they are taught to use the bodies of both their enemies and their own allies even to send a warning to their opponents that they will soon face the wrath of the cultist wolfmen.

 Demorans, despite their obvious sadistic side, are still individuals who can love and feel just like anyone else. Though their life is usually molded around based on the God they worship.

 Followers of N’Thama, Goddess of Desire and Love, will often dress minimalistic due to a desire to share their glorious form and beauty to the world. They want to show their love and explore forbidden fetishes with those around them, to them, vanity is a virtue.

 Followers of Gar Garag, God of War and Domination, are militaristic by nature, they believe that power is the only true way of life, but they are not so foolish as to run in and battle a foe recklessly, as much as they wish that were the case. They are smart and tactically sound, but they fail to fear death, meaning that if something doesn’t work their mindset is generally to make it work by force. These Demorans will also carry a weapon on them at all times and usually become anxious without one.

 Followers of Y‘Moggthua, God of Death and Disease, are calm and generally extroverted, perfectly willing to welcome outsiders into their towns and religion. They believe that Crows and Insects are patron animals to their God, and covet death, seeing corpses as sacred seedbeds of disease for which eldritch swarms may breed within.

Demoran Traits

Demorans learn to fight at a young age, they learn to use the terrain to their advantage. They are physically fit and zealous warriors willing to do whatever it takes to win a fight.

Digitigrade Legs

Demorans are the only race in Elysium to have evolved Digitigrade legs, this allows them to more easily move around on all fours and with greater speed as well as move in through spaces of at least 2 ft from top to bottom. Increase speed to 45 ft but attacks with ranged weapons are rolled with disadvantage.

Demoran Agility

Demoran children often play in high treetops, while dangerous it offered excellent exercise and helped with grip training! Add +2 to acrobatics and Dexterity.

Fear Is Our Weapon

Demorans have a reputation- and not a good one. Enemies shake in fear of them of their presence, often distance is best kept. 

Fang and Claw

Demorans are ferocious and fight to the last man, even if their weapons are broken, they still have their claws and fangs. And they definitely know how to use them.
