Homebrew The Fallen species Species Details
The Fallen are a mysterious and tragic race, appearing as a mix of the living and undead. Clad in blue armour, their faces are partially obscured by metal masks. Their skin shows signs of stone-like hardness, and their bodies are slowly corrupted by blue crystals. These crystals grant them immense strength, but as the corruption spreads, they lose control over their actions. The Fallen are both deadly in close combat, fighting as if driven by some ancient curse.
The Fallen species Traits
Fallen's Racial TraitStoneborn Resilience:
Your tough, stone-like skin grants you resistance to slashing damage.
Undead Essence:
You count as both undead and humanoid for the purposes of spells and abilities. You are resistant to necrotic damage but vulnerable to radiant damage.
Corrupted Surge:
(Once per long rest), you can enter a state of heightened strength. For 1 minute, you gain +2 to attack and damage rolls but take 1d4 psychic damage at the end of each of your turns.
Crystalline Corruption:
As blue crystals spread through your body, you become more powerful but unstable. You gain a bonus to Strength and Constitution saving throws equal to half your level (rounded down). However, after every encounter, roll a d20. On a roll of 5 or lower, you must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + half your level). On a failure, you lose control temporarily and must take hostile actions towards the nearest living creature.
