Cursed Kobold Traits

Cursed Kobold

Superior Darkvision

You can see in complete darkness and dim light within a 100ft radius as if it were bright lift.

Sunlight Sensitivity

While in sunlight, you have disadvantage on Perception checks that rely on sight.

Pack Tactics

You have advantage on an attack roll against an enemy if at least one of your allies is within 5 feet of the enemy and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Blindsight

You can see within 15ft without relying on physical sight. Within that range, you can see anything that isn’t behind Total Cover even if you have the Blinded condition or are in Darkness. Moreover, in that range, you can see something that has the Invisible condition.

Amphibious

You can breathe in air and water.

Poison Breath

You can use your action to exhale poisonous spray in a 15ft cone.

When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a constitution saving throw. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level.

Kobold Legacy

Kobolds’ connection to dragons can manifest in unpredictable ways in an individual kobold. Choose one of the following legacy options for your kobold:

  • Craftiness. You have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Arcana, Investigation, Medicine, Sleight of Hand, or Survival.
  • Defiance. You have advantage on saving throws to avoid or end the frightened condition on yourself.

Small

Your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift is halved.
However you can easily squeeze through spaces one size smaller than you without suffering movement penalties or disadvantage on attack rolls and Dexterity saving throws.
Attack rolls against you do not gain advantage while in the smaller space.

You have disadvantage on strength checks and strength saving throws, but advantage on dexterity checks.

True Form

You are a Dragon in the form of a Kobold. Your creature type is classed as Dragon.

As a bonus action, you can let out a draconic roar at your enemies within 10 feet of you. Until the end of your next turn, you and your allies have advantage on attack rolls against any of those enemies who could hear the roar. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Blood of the Green Dragon

Starting at Level 5, you gain resistance to poison damage.

Starting at level 10, you are immune to poison damage and being poisoned.

Creatures that come into contact with your green blood, physically or internally, take 1d4 poison damage and receive the poisoned condition for 2 turns.

-2 to Wisdom, +2 to Charisma.

Proficiency in Deception.

You are fully fluent in Draconic and Common. At Level 10, some of your ancient memories are restored in response to your growth power. Select a rare language to become fully fluent in.
