Homebrew Vulcanic Species Details

 

When a volcano erupts, a certain 1 in a millionth phenomena can occur where the magma gains just a wisp of sentience due to the velocity of it traveling in the air, Turning it into a living being within about a weeks worth of time. Though these small globs of molten slag may be tiny, They are known as the Vulcanic. During the earlier stages of the life of a Vulcanic, They only appear as a small glob of magma with fiery, bright eyes. Vulcanic are exceptionally weak to water. This is because when naturally, when magma meets water, it hardens and turns to stone. This is excruciatingly painful for any type of Vulcanic, as they can't move while hardened, becoming effectively paralyzed. Vulcanic beings can and are capable of speech, (its up to you to meet one...)

When a Vulcanic reaches adulthood, which takes a significantly less amount of time due to the short life expectancy of this species. It can start to grasp some of the benefits species under the Vulcanic category may utilize.

One of the only ways a Vulcanic can gain sustenance is by consuming iron. Whether it be chunks, nuggets, bars. When the Vulcanic consumes iron, their body mass increases in the midsection and upper body. One way they have figured out how to make gold with this ability is buy taking the excess molten slag from their stomach, shaping it into different weapons for different peoples needs like axe heads, sword hilts, and exotic weapons on request. Unfortunately, Most Vulcanic do not have the privilege of learning common speak. So this makes them a target for thieves and con artists trying to get ahold of their forged weapons due to them not being able to communicate well.

Vulcanic beings, while being weak to water and liquid, have exceptionally supple skin. Being able to absorb strikes that would cut through flesh and bone. This durability has its limits however. As the more excess iron a Vulcanic uses to regenerate itself, the higher risk it runs of using too much mass and shrinking down and down. A Vulcanic with too little mass runs the risk of ending its life due to their not being enough magma to support the organs of the Vulcanic.

To wrap this up, I will leave you with some lucrative and special information that not many in this world know about. As stated earlier, Vulcanic beings who can speak common speak are known to exist (my oc omg!!!) . Very rarely however due to their melting nature and the sheer danger that a language arts teacher would put themselves through trying to deal with them.

Vulcanic beings are not to be tampered with due to a sizeable majority of them having humanoid intelligence and knowledge of their own abilities, like a acquaintance of mine, She's quite hotheaded. Not literally but figuratively...
