Homebrew Vulbith Species Details

Descendants of the giant fey bees, Vulbith appear as large humanoid bees with two sets of arms and a set of legs, and two pairs of small insect wings on their backs, but due to their weight, they have lost their ability to fly and gain no big benefit from such wings other than communication and controlling their temperature.

Vulbith commonly come in shades yellow, orange and brown. They have antennas that help them lots in mapping out their world, giving them access to see through electromagnetic waves and sense vibrations in the ground. Vulbith’s eyes are extra sensitive to colour, allowing them to see in more colour than humans. While their vision is slightly more blurry, a Vulbith’s large eyes allow them to see further around their heads than a human.

All Vulbith, no matter their subspecies (Honey, Bumble, Carpenter.) live together in large groups of females (20-30 on average) while the males live in solitary. The females are extremely social, and form close bonds with each other. They act as one. Honey’s typically live in or on trees where they build homes that resemble treehouses. Carpenter’s typically build homes out of wood, closer to other species, and bumble’s typically live in tunnels in the ground.
