Homebrew Lepalï (Mothfolk) Species Details
Lepalï (Mothfolk) are a fey-touched race of humanoids with
different unique aspects resembling humanoid and human-
like features, with a true and apparent component of moth
characteristics.
Moth features can often range, but they will always have
wings, varying in size, but usually reaching past their arm
span. The wings can vary in color in pattern from bright
greens, vibrant saturated colors, all the way to simple pastels
and soft grayscale. They will often have a soft fur that can
appear in patches, completely covered or nowhere at all. The
fur is most commonly on their arms, wings, and head.
Additionally, they'll commonly have large bulbous insectoid
eyes of a moth as well as soft feather-like antennae that
extend from the forehead. Lastly, Lepalï (Mothfolk) will
always have an extra set of arms, for a total of 4. Their extra
pair is fairly weak but effectively can do simpler tasks.
Otherwise, most of the human-like parts of the Lepalï
(Mothfolk) will match the patterns of their moth features. For
example, Bright Green Wings and fur will result in hair that
is green. Larger Wings tend to lead to the Lepalï (Mothfolk)
being taller.

Extra Arms
You have a second set of weaker arms below
your arms. These arms are weaker and cannot support
holding weapons or shields, but can pick up and interact with
light objects and materials that aren't heavy.

You can speak, read & write in Common &
Sylvan.

Your Dexterity score increases by 2
and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age
You tend to mature at the same rate as humans, but
have a lifespan of approximately 50 years, in very rare cases
making it to 75 years old.
Alignment
Lepalï (Mothfolk) are often fairly whimsical.
Ambitions or conviction of belief is not usual for them. They
tend to put more merit into keeping an open mind and being
empathetic in the moment over a long term goal. Lepalï
(Mothfolk) will often be between Neutral or Chaotic Good. If
one is religious, they tend to worship deities representing
astral bodies such as the Sun or Moon.
Size
Lepalï (Mothfolk) vary quite a bit in size, being
anywhere between 5'5" to 6'5"
. Different sub-subraces of
Lepalï (Mothfolk) tend to have an average height among
them. You are considered medium.
Speed
You have a base walking speed of 30 feet. You have
a base flying speed of 15 feet. You can fly for a maximum of 1
hour or until you land after flight. Once you land you cannot
fly again until you take a short or long rest.
Darkvision
Thanks to your insectoid & fey heritage, you
have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see
in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and
in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in
darkness, only shades of gray.
Moth Magic
Your fey ancestry gives you inherent magic
that plays to your moth nature. You know the Dancing Lights
cantrip. You can also cast either the Guiding Bolt or Faerie
Fire spell once per long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting
ability for these spells.
