Homebrew Belaverium Species Details

Belaverium are a human-scorpion hybrid with small wings and a deep hive mind connection. The birthplace of a Belaverium larva is in their hive, close to their Great-Queen-Mother where at birth they are determined to be one of multiple types of Belaverium. Most (60% males, 60% females) Belaverium become mindless drones who have no innate abilities and grow up to build, repair, and farm for the hive. 

Durumian Belaverium (35% males, 25% females) are the more typical soldiers, scavengers, and marauders. They operate outside the hive for the most part, raiding different species' settlements and pillaging resources and returning the supplies back to the hive. They are genetically stronger and more physical while also having much more autonomy, some leaving the hive after being severely angered. Asmadian Belaverium (5% males, 15% females) are much more religious and magic oriented. They are either heavily devoted to the Queen or leave at young ages.

Belaverium are mostly found in desserts near oases but never directly close as they don't need much food or water for longer periods of time. Their homes are usually in large caves and rarely are there ever buildings on the surfaces as most hives are either hostile or solitary.

Belaverium are born as larva and live as such for 2 years. They typically only get as old as 45 years old.

Belaverium are typically evil and chaotic but can still be any other alignment. It would depend on the hive's alignment.

Any dessert or sand related traps, terrain disadvantages, or quick sand pits are ignored entirely.

You have the knowledge to speak, read, and write common and hive. You can communicate with any fellow Belaverium through a psychic link that no one else can hear.

Size

Belaverium can range from three to six and a half feet tall. Young Belaverium (3-14) are considered small while older Belaverium (15-45) are considered medium size.

Speed

You have a movement range of 30 walking speed. Belaverium have a 10 foot burrowing speed, 15 foot climbing and 15 foot flying speed.
