Homebrew Andolan Orc Species Details

Orcs hail from the red desert of the Broken Crescent, where they claim to be the first species to inhabit the region. This belief was later substantiated when explorers uncovered ancient texts in the ruins of the Origin. These records vividly described orc ancestors, towering and formidable, as guardians of the desert, stationed to deter any creatures from trespassing into the Origin’s hidden facilities.

Over the millennia, Orcs have evolved. Ancient Orcs, once colossal figures standing over 15 feet tall, were equipped with curved or straight tusks, bone-like plates along their spines, and sharp, vicious claws. It is believed that these traits were designed specifically to ward off any threats to the Origin’s domain.

Modern Orcs retain some of these ancient instincts, most notably their fierce loyalty to their groups. They are driven by an inherent need to stay together, prioritizing the well-being of their community above all else. Their culture reflects this, built upon values of solidarity, shared responsibility, and protection of the vulnerable.

Physically, Orcs are robust and resilient. They heal faster than most species and have an innate ability to work harmoniously in groups. Among allies, they are patient, thoughtful, and slow to anger. Yet, when faced with enemies or threats to their peace, they become ruthless and unyielding. Orcs are also highly attuned to their environment, able to navigate and master wilderness terrain with ease, which they use to outmaneuver intruders. Despite their capacity for trust, they are known to never forget a slight, holding grudges against those who wrong them.

Orcs typically live up to 80 years, reaching adulthood around the age of 10. They are hardy and strong, standing between 5 and 6 feet tall, and come in various skin tones, including forest green, earthy brown, and muted gray.

Though quick to trust, an Orc’s forgiveness is nearly impossible to earn.
