You can breathe in both air and water. While swimming, you have advantage on Dexterity saving throws against non-AOE effects, and advantage on Dexterity saving throws against AOE effects if you are in a body of water at least 10 feet in diameter. Additionally, while swimming, you gain Blindsight within 10 feet towards creatures and objects inside the same body of water as you.

You know the Shape Water cantrip, casting it either as an action or bonus action, and wisdom is your spellcasting ability for it. When moving or changing the flow of water, you can move the water up to 30 feet parallel to the ground, and you do not count as a creature inside the water when attempting to freeze it.

As an axolotl, you require ample amounts of liquid water in order to prevent dehydration. After one hour of not being in contact with water, you have disadvantage on all saving throws and attacks rolls. After two hours of not being in contact with water, you take 1d6 fire damage per turn, and gain one level of exhaustion each time you take three instances of this damage on consecutive turns. Taking fire damage (except through this trait) causes your body to act as if five extra minutes have passed without coming into contact with water each time.

After you take a long rest, make a DC 15 constitution saving throw. On a normal success, you can regenerate a missing limb, and on a critical success, you can regenerate up to two missing limbs. When being targeted by a reviving spell, such as revivify or resurrection, the time frame in which you can be revived is twice as long.
