Homebrew Dallesteran Elf Species Details
Along with Allesteran elves, Dallesteran are the most easily recognized elves. Many years ago, these elves rebelled against Corellion and his children. Spurred on by the sinister whispers of Lolth and her lackeys, they struck during the night, slaying thousands of elves in their sleep. After the elven civil war, the Dallesteran were driven underground into what is now know as "the realms below. Their skin is ebony like their souls, and they have stark white hair with violet or red eyes. Dallesteran are exceptionally quick, nimble, and make excellent leaders, but are reviled and hated by nearly all of the surface world, and uniformly by the Tallesteran, Fallesteran, and Ellesteran.
Dallesteran Names
Names are assigned by the family's high priestess: girls at birth, but boys don't get named until adulthood.

Dallesteran racial traits come from millennia of living in the Underdark, their betrayal of Corellion and their worship of Lolth.Ability Score Increase

Age
The Dallesteran are the shortest lived amongst the elves, reaching adulthood around 70 years old and living until 500 years old.
Size
Dallesteran range from 4 and half feet tall to 5 and a half feet tall and weigh around 125 pounds. Your size is medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Keen Senses
You are proficient in the Perception skill.
Fey Ancestry
You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.
Trance
Elves don't need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is "trance.") While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
If you meditate during a long rest, you finish the rest after only 4 hours. You otherwise obey all the rules for a long rest; only the duration is changed.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Undercommon and one other chosen from the following: Beholder, Derro Dwarvish, Daegaer Dwarvish, Deep Gnomish.
Martial Weapon Training
You are proficient with martial weapons.
Superior Darkvision
Accustomed to the depths of the Underdark, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Dallesteran Magic
You know the dancing lights cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the faerie fire spell once with this trait; you regain the ability to cast it when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can also cast the darkness spell once per day with this trait; you regain the ability to cast it when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Sunlight Sensitivity
You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.
