Homebrew Chlorophilite Species Details

Your species heavily relies on its ability to gain chlorophyll from plants and the like, hence the name "Chlorophillites." Your people eventually gained it though thousands of years being exposed to Fey magic and the Feywild itself. Long ago, your people used to be elementals, but you've since evolved to become one with nature - and the greens (and yellows and purples and whatnot) that come with it.

-Appearance and Biology-       ((I can't get an image that really works so I'm adding this to hopefully help you visualize the species))
The Chlorophilite is usually similar to elves in general body shape. However, some have been found to resemble halflings in size.
You have radiant white skin, with dark colored sclera and white pupils.
You have antenna of sorts that end in a dull, oval-like shape.
You lack a biological gender - and it is unknown how Chlorophilites reproduce.

-Sustenance-
You rely on your Chlorophyll Leeching to keep yourself alive as a source of nutrition. You lose your Prof. Bonus in Light Points at the end of a long rest. If you have less than four at the start of your next short rest, you gain one point of exhaustion. This point of exhaustion only goes away when you make a long rest with at least five Light Points or from a magical effect. You can have a maximum amount of eight light points. Furthermore, if you lose fail a check on a spell to maintain your concentration, you lose one Light Point.
You still rely on water and related liquids, as dehydration affects you.

You are considered a Fey for the purposes of overcoming various effects, magical or otherwise.

Chlorophilite Traits

Your exposure to the Feywild has affected you in many ways, affecting your ability to interact with the beautiful nature around you.

Darkvision

Your ancestors' exposure to the wonders of the Feywild have forever changed your ability to see the wonders of the world, even in darkness. You gain Darkvision out to a range of 60 feet, as your eyes can easily adjust to the limited light.

Chlorophyll Leeching

Your need to satiate your hunger grows, as it does with any living creature. As a bonus action, you can absorb some of the chlorophyll off of a Plant or anything else that may have chlorophyll imbued into it, including other Chlorophilites. The target must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC that equals 8 plus your proficiency bonus plus your Constitution or Wisdom modifier (your choice when choosing this species). On a fail, the target takes 1d6 Necrotic damage. This cannot kill a creature. You gain Light Points equal to the amount of necrotic damage the target took.

You can also give back to the environment around you. Using 2 Light Points, you can cast Druidcraft.

Mental Speech

Your ancient ancestor's language still stays ingrained in your nature-loving mind. You can speak, understand, read, and write Primordial. Furthermore, exposure to the Feywild's magic has extended your knowledge, allowing you to be able to speak, understand, and read Common as well as one language of your choice. As a Chlorophilite, you cannot verbally speak due to a lack of a mouth and therefore ignore verbal requirements for spells. You can freely telepathically speak with other creatures, undead, and constructs in a 80 foot radius.

Trying to write Common or your chosen language automatically has it translated into Primordial as your hands instinctively move to keep it in that dialect no matter how hard you try to divert this outcome.
