Homebrew Cursed Incarnation Species Details

Cursed Incarnations are individuals who have become hosts to potent curses, transforming them into formidable entities. This transformation comes at a significant cost, as they lose control of their bodies entirely to the curses they embody. When a Cursed Incarnation fully embraces its curse, it unleashes its true form, gaining two additional arms and an extra mouth, but at the price of surrendering its will to the curse.

These beings are often marked by their chaotic nature, shaped by the curses within them, leading many to adopt neutral or chaotic alignments. While their bodies become resilient to certain types of damage, their true strength lies in their ability to manipulate cursed techniques, making them adept at both physical and magical combat.

Upon fully incarnating, the curse takes full control of the host, granting them immense power but rendering them a mere vessel for the malevolent force. The Cursed Incarnation can no longer make independent choices, acting solely on the curse's instincts and desires. This powerful transformation may lead to devastating consequences, both for the host and those around them.

Despite their chaotic nature, Cursed Incarnations can tap into their inner power through chanting, enhancing their techniques and abilities in the heat of battle. Cursed Incarnation Traits

Cursed Vessels have the following features.

Age

Cursed Incarnations mature at a similar rate to humans but can live much longer, often reaching ages of 150 years.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of yourself as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

 

Cursed Resilience

You have resistance to necrotic and psychic damage. Your body is attuned to the nature of curses, granting you an innate ability to resist their effects.

Cursed Incarnation (True form)

Cursed Incarnation (True Form): Once in your life, you can fully incarnate the curse within you, regaining its true form. When you do so, the following occurs:

• Your appearance shifts, gaining two additional arms and an additional mouth.
• Your size becomes Large. You can use the additional arms to wield weapons, granting you the ability to make one extra attack with your action on each of your turns.
• You regain hit points equal to your level when you transform.
• You retain the ability to use your class features and spells while in this form.

This transformation lasts indefinitely, and you cannot revert to your original form after you incarnate.

You can speak, read, and write Common and one additional language of your choice.

Feat

You gain a feat of your choice.
