Homebrew Black Dragon (Juvenile) Species Details

Black dragons are a chromatic type of dragon, which means they usually have some variation of the evil alignments. Black dragons have an acid breath weapon, just like copper dragons, which are their sworn enemies. Black dragons eat sentient creatures (especially fairies) and reptiles. They often have horns that curve towards their face. Black dragons usually live in ancient ruins or swamps. Carrion eaters and insects often roam near a black dragon's lair, cleaning the bones of the dragon's many victims. Over time, the land near a black dragon's lair will grow with twisted plants and reeking mud. Any nearby sources of water will become corrupted and undrinkable, stained by the black dragon's foul presence.

Breath Weapon (Black)

Dragons and similar creatures such as dragonborn have something called a breath weapon. Each dragon type has different breath weapons. Black dragon's acid breath has a range of 60 feet long and 5 feet wide. Any creature hit by this acid breath takes 12d8 acid damage on a failed dc18 dexterity saving throw, and half as much on a successful one.

Humanoid form - Dragonborn

All true dragons of age 6 or older can shapeshift into a humanoid form. This form is chosen by the dragon when they turn six. There are a couple different options, which are listed below.
-Dragonborn
-Human
-Elf (Metallic only)
-Gnome (Metallic Only)
-Orc (Chromatic only)
-Goblin (Chromatic Only)

Please note that if you choose dragonborn, the type of dragonborn you turn into is the same as your dragon character's type. In this case, you are a black Dragon, so you will turn into a black dragonborn.
