Dwellers within the Voidlands
There is a place within the cosmos balancing on the edge between existence and the oblivion. A dark, lonely place nicknamed as the Voidlands. This lost realm look like a city surrounded by a jungle. Yet, there is an unseen part of this real - deep down beneath the jungle there are endless systems of caves and tunnels spanning for thousands of miles. These tunnels are beaming with various forms of life and dangers, however, the most prominent and dominant life form are Argaons.
Underground Empire
Argaons are a race of adaptation and domination. They perfectly adapted to live below the surface, hunt in the dark, travel fast within the tunnels. The origin of their race is not know, but it doesn't matter much to them. They built several settlements and has few dozens of thousands of members their race living within those settlements. Doing everything from hunting to crafting, Argaons have built their culture around practical need: most of them are accomplished hunters as they are training their young to hunt since early age, they are daring explorers, and any issues they deal with is deal based on what makes the most logical sense.
Argaon empire is strong, at least at their home plane, and making deals with them is quite hard, because they do not care about politics and appearances - Argaons value what is obvious, practical and direct. They value strength and they wouldn't ever accept any deal with a weaker force. Showing any weakness at the presence of an Argaon often ends up with deadly consequences.
Royals and Workers
Argaon race split into two parts: Aabza and Hutra.
Aabza - something like workers ants in ant colony. They are hunters, gatherers, artisans and adventurers. They are responsible for protection, exploration and most things in the empire, except for decision making. Almost all members of this race belong to this part of their society.
Hutra - royal members of Argaon empire. They are especially blessed with various gifts, long life, and are responsible for the control of the empire. However, unlike most other humanoid races, being a member of Hutra is not a mere privilege. One of the blessing they have in an ability to assimilate the dead. Whenever an Aabra class individual dies, they are typically consumed by one or several Hutra Argaons. Memories, skills and magical powers are then transferred from the dead individual to the royals who partake on the consumption. However, eventually even Hutra die, and their bodies are then taken to be devoured by the Absolute Queen of their race. The queen of Argaons is an immortal creature who holds incredible power. She is the center of Argaon empire, the key religious figure and the earlies common ancestor of their entire race.
