Homebrew Avian Species Details

A small race that have wings that appear to be cloaks to the majority when not in use, a rare species that is unknown to most and live in tiny communities high up in the mountains and only come down to settlements on rare occasions to avoid the species being exposed. they are quite short, but are good with their hands working on fiddly, small scale items if they have spare time. They were originally from the elemental plane of air and it is their dream to return.

Your race is considered to be a Custom Lineage for any game feature that requires a certain race, such as elf or dwarf.

You have talons that you can use to make unarmed strikes. When you hit with them, the strike deals 1d6 + your Dexterity modifier slashing damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

Feathery shield

As a reaction, you can use your wings to reduce damage dealt to you by a number of d6s equal to your proficiency bonus.

You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
