Homebrew Angel human Species Details

You were born as a normal child, but from the moment of your birth, you were marked by an unknown celestial presence. As you grew, strange occurrences followed you—dreams of distant, impossible landscapes, voices in your head that were not your own, inexplicable bursts of power when you were threatened or in danger. Your parents feared you, but they also loved you, unable to fully understand the force that was awakening inside of you.

As you matured, it became clear that your connection to the Angels—those alien beings that ravaged the Earth—was not just one of observation. The Seed of an Angel was within you, a fragment of divine will, granting you both tremendous potential and unbearable strain. Perhaps you are the result of a long-forgotten experiment, or perhaps you were chosen for a role you cannot yet fathom. The truth of your origins is a mystery—one you have spent years trying to uncover.

Divine Essence (Passive)

Effect: You are resistant to radiant damage and have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Flavor: The angelic presence within you gives you a sense of calm amidst chaos. Your senses can attune to the divine, allowing you to feel the subtle movements of celestial forces. However, this presence also makes you feel out of place in human society.

Apostle of Light (Active)

 

Effect: As a bonus action, you can activate an aura of light around you for 1 minute. The aura extends 10 feet from you, and you gain the following benefits:

You shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.

Enemies within your aura have disadvantage on saving throws against radiant damage.

As part of the aura, you can deal 1d6 radiant damage to any creature that starts its turn within 5 feet of you.

Cooldown: You can use this ability once per long rest. You also suffer 1d6 radiant damage after deactivating the aura, as the power takes its toll on your human body.
