Homebrew Wendigo (cursed or birthed) Species Details
A typically gaunt creature with a cervine skull, long, narrow tongue, and large antlers. Their coloration generically varies anywhere from silver, white and grey, to black or midnight blue. Moving to their hands, the one other consistency besides their signature skull and antlers, is their sharp clawed hands for ripping and shredding their prey.
Their torso is typically thin as their skin clings tightly around their bones due to intense and long-term malnutrition. In only extremely rare cases are Wendigos ever able to have enough meat to satiate them, let alone give them the opportunity to gain visible muscle mass or fat. However, nightmarish cases of a well-fed Wendigo have been spoken about, as horror stories to tell by the campfire.
A wretched species, cursed with a nearly unrelenting hunger, long lifespans, and a strict diet for meat. These creatures are rare and knowledge or awareness of their existence is nigh nonexistent. The special few who are aware of these individuals know them well as bad omen at best, and a carnivorous death sentence at worst.
