Homebrew Yeti Species Details

Towering, fur-covered humanoids, the Yetis are mountain-dwelling beings with a primal connection to cold and the wilderness. Previously incapable of Twilight Travel, through some form of diffusion of the Rainbow Dragon's power, when the Blue North members were freed from their tether to that realm, the effect spread to the yeti tribe most dedicated to the Blue North cause.

Biggest Forehead, Bestest Tribe

The Big Forehead tribe are smarter than your average yetis, but they tend to focus their discipline in narrow ways. Yetis from this tribe may choose a single Intelligence skill and any tool. They gain proficiency in both. When making ability checks with the chosen skill or tool they gain a bonus of 1d4 to the result.

Beast of the North

You ignore difficult terrain caused by ice and snow, and you have a climbing speed of 20 feet.

Languages

Your character knows at least three languages: Yeti plus two languages you roll or choose from the Standard Languages table. Knowledge of a language means your character can communicate in it, read it, and write it. Your class and other features might also give you languages.

The Standard Languages table lists languages that are widespread on D&D worlds. Every player character knows Common, which originated in the planar metropolis of Sigil, the hub of the multiverse. The other standard languages originated with the first members of the most prominent species in the worlds of D&D and have since spread widely.
