Homebrew Ceruvas Species Details

From the sanctuaries of The Willowed Isle was a species, known for their small communities and privatized lives. This species, the Ceruvas were attuned with nature and the magic that ran through it, they saw magic as part of nature itself and believed that it fluctuated power within the seasons. Their species’ magic users began to use this connection to the seasons to their advantage, having certain users attune to certain seasons in order to keep that season’s magic alive, even past the season’s conclusion.

This however never separated theCeruvas they in fact saw sticking together as a way to keep the magic of the whole year alive within one community. This idea is what sparked up The Ritual of Nature’s Harmony, a ritual held each year in which theCeruvas would all gather in the town in the center of the island and all channel their season’s magic energy, allowing it to run through them before finally joining hands, allowing all the seasons to converge through their many bodies, creating a large flow of energy through them all. This was said to be done in order to keep the season’s harmony between each other but also to keep all the Ceruvas powerful and flowing with magic. Some say that even Ceruvas that had travelled away from The Willowed Isle ever since would still return in order to take part of The Ritual of Nature’s Harmony.

This species, however, only could last in harmony for so long. Hunters, who were convinced that this race was connected somehow to the gods began to hunt them, believing that killing them would allow them access to the gods’ might. This assumption, however was wrong, but these hunters didn’t believe that. One day when the Ceruvas ritual was occurring, a group of hunters, who had made a plan, began to circle the town they gathered in. They then burned down the town, killing anyone who tried to escape the inferno as it blazed. Killing every Ceruvas, driving them into extinction, people say that the fire mixed with the deer’s energy caused it to roar the colors of the season and the hunters escaped into the night as the rest of The Willowed Isle and all the Ceruvas’ sanctuaries burned into the night with it.

Some believe, however, that it’s possible some of this species have survived, as the seasons have yet to fall out of order.
