Homebrew Awakened Boreian Ground Mouse Species Details

Some would call them adorable little fur-balls, others would say that they're pests. Boreian Ground Mice are native to the temperate climate of Pelgia, and are a small ground dwelling species of rodent that tend to be between 2-5 inches from their snout to the base of their tail. They have numerous different coats, ranging from a russet red to a stark snow white, the color of their fur matches the season in which they were born. Boreian Ground Mice will have anywhere between 10 and 30 children in each litter, and they have a litter once a year, producing a lot of children, most of which don't make it to the age where they can reproduce. They are most commonly seen in the wild, out on the floors of the forest, living in underground burrows, they tend to avoid homes and mainly subsist off of nuts and seeds.
For some reason, Boreian Ground Mice are particularly prone to awakening, perhaps to do with their large littler sizes. This process often needs to be manual, but, when exposed to magic, they have the chance to gain sentience.

Age

Boriean Ground Mice tend to live for about 3-5 years, most die due to natural causes before old age ever takes them. Awakened Boriean Ground Mice however can live for far longer, with lifespans ranging from 80-180 years.

Size

While normal Boreian mice are tiny, they range in size from 2-5 inches from the tip of their snout to the base of their tail, Awakened ones tend to have an intense aversion to typical "tiny" activities. These means that mechanically, Awakened Boriean Ground Mice are counted as small instead of tiny.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 35 feet.

Once per long rest, when reduced to 0 hitpoints, you call upon the luck that let you get past the age of a pup and instead fall to only 1 hitpoint.

Scurry

In moments of need, you can push your body to the limit. When you move, you may double your movement speed until the end of the turn. Once used this trait cannot be used again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.

Small Size

You can move through and occupy the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.
