Homebrew Arachne 5E Species Details
Arachne summery
the Arachne, though often mistaken for Driders, are a good natured race who keep to themselves on the outskirts of cities and out in dense forests and jungles where they form villages who, despite popular belief, do not make all there buildings out of web and silk, and are more widely spread across the worlds forests than most people would think. the arachne are able to freely breed with other races and carry a single child in there humanoid abdomen, not there thorax. female Arachne giving birth to children who have Arachne eyes and lower bodies while there torso, arms and head look like there non Arachne parent, while a male Arachne will sire a child who looks purely of its mothers race, save a single set of Arachne eyes. an Arachnes subrace is completely random, a borrower Arachne can give birth to a leaping or even a weaver subrace. Arachne enjoy crafting, hunting and socializing with other people and races, even if people are put off by there similarities to the Driders of the underdark. the Arachne are broken up into several subraces the larger wolf and weaver Arachne and the smaller burrower and leaper Arachne. an arachnes subrace is completely random at birth( a burrower can give birth to a Wolf Arachne). they mature physically around 13 and live around 70-80 years.
Arachne can breed freely with any race they come across. females will give birth to a single child carried in there humanoid abdomen, not there thorax, that will have a random subrace with its humanoid half resembling its other parent while males that breed with a non Arachne will sire a child that looks entirely of its mothers race, save for 2 Arachne eyes in place of its mothers normal ones. an arachne is born without its Arachnid legs to make the process easier which then grow between 3-6 months after birth.
