Homebrew Yuan-Ti (freshly transformed) Species Details

Yuan-ti are humans who are transformed into serpent folk through ancient rituals. Most of them are corrupted into monsters by those rites, but some became a new people, humans with certain snakes characteristic as colorful scales, fangs, reptile eyes, forked tongues.

Now, what happens when the human character of a player becomes one of them mid-game? This version of the race is for newly transformed yuan-ti character who undergoes the ritual (voluntarily or by force), but does not remain with his captors for whatever reason: because he manages to escape, because he is saved by his companions or any other reason.

The race concept is a mix of both human and yuan-ti: he will keep his human stats/knowledge and receive passive effects of his new body such as poison immunity, but to compensate its power, he won't be granted the innate spellcasting, due to no one will teach him how to use it, and loses the heroic inspiration of the human since it is not especially happy about being a monster now.
