Homebrew Arachnae Species Details

Born in a cocoon among their siblings as size tiny, they rapidly grow to reach small or medium size. As they reach maturity the colors of their lower body becomes more noticeable, which is essential for mating. When mating the females will sometimes eat the male ones human upper body leaving only their lower body alive, which most often than not, results in the death the male Arachnae, if the male survives they rebuild a male upper body slowly when they melt.

They usually live in giant nests, which are made similarly to a house, since it has rooms, it is made in their silk, which can host about 20 Arachnae.

Their favourite prey and foods are most often Thri-Kreens, giant bugs, and fruits.

Darkvision

You can see in darkness as if it were dim light up to a range of 60 feet. Objects seen in this range are in muted shades of grey, greens, and purples.

Spider Walk

You can climb any surface, including walls and ceilings. You gain a climb speed equal to your walk speed.

Web Creation

You can use your webbing to restrain foes during combat. As an action while grappling a creature, you can secrete silk to restrain them. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or become restrained. The restrained condition lasts until the creature breaks free with a successful Strength (Athletics) check against the same DC.

In addition, you can cast the Web spell as an action without expending a spell slot. Once you use this trait, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Bite Attack

You can make a bite attack as a natural weapon. This is a melee weapon attack that deals 1d6 + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice) piercing damage. When you hit with this attack, the target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failed save, the target is poisoned for 1 minute. The target can make a saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on success.

Spider Skin

Your chitinous spider body provides resistance to poison damage. Additionally, you have advantage on saving throws to resist being poisoned.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common or Undercommon, and you are fluent in the unique dialect of Thri-Kreen spoken by other Arachnae.
