Homebrew Abyssal Scourge Aasimar Species Details

A strange and rare offspring of Aasimar and Tiefling. The tiefling blood twisting the radiant blood of the Aasimar making it a scourge and abyssal. Having horns of a tiefling, with the long tail with a spade at the end, yet body types and structure similar to an Aasimar. The skin that can range from normal skin tones to ethereal and celestial looking depending on preference.

Something of concern, fascination and fear when these races are seen. This race can easily have a good alignment or an evil alignment, sometimes switching alignments for the moment. Yet most often at war with themselves. Thus making many of this race eventually going mad.

Abyssal Scourge Aasimar do not have wings when outside of battle or when they choose not to. However, when they are in battle, wings of pure fire burst from their backs. The fire wings are magically made with a concentration requirement of maintaining the magical "flight".  When flying, if concentration is broken, the wings will disappear. It is up to the DM to choose if the the fire wings can burn or cause any damage. Please speak with your DM about this if considering. 

• Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma is increased by 2, and your Constitution is increased by 1. 

• Creature Type. You are a Humanoid.

• Size. You are Medium humanoid
• Age.  These creatures mature at the same rate as humans and tieflings, but they can live up to 160 years.

• Speed. Your walking speed is 30 feet.

• Flying Speed. Your flying speed is 30 feet.

• Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray

• Languages. Your character can speak, read, and write Common, Infernal, and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character. The Player’s Handbook offers a list of languages to choose from. The DM is free to modify that list for a campaign.

• Spell Casting Ability.  Spell Casting Ability is Charisma.

Special Racial Traits
Hellish Resistance. You have resistance to fire damage.

Celestial Resistance. You have resistance to necrotic damage and radiant damage.

Healing Hands. As an action, you can touch a creature and roll a number of d4s equal to your proficiency bonus. The creature regains a number of hit points equal to the total rolled. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest. **When this is used the conflicting magic will appear and the creature you heal will have to roll 2d4 of necrotic damage**

Choose between Radiant Consumption or Infernal Legacy (only one option can be selected)
Radiant Consumption. Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the divine energy within yourself, causing a searing light to radiate from you, pour out of your eyes and mouth, and threaten to char you.
Your transformation lasts for 1 minute or until you end it as a bonus action. During it, you shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet, and at the end of each of your turns, you and each creature within 10 feet of you take radiant damage equal to half your level (rounded up). In addition, once on each of your turns, you can deal extra radiant damage to one target when you deal damage to it with an attack or a spell. The extra radiant damage equals your level.
Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. **Whenever this consumption is used, the PC will take roll 2d6 of damage themself for the conflicting abyssal and radiant power inside**

Infernal Legacy. You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the hellish rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
