Homebrew Broggxi Species Details

This vile creation between a Bugbear and a Tabaxi is looked down upon throughout the land. If it's through pity, or hatred, most wish it was never born. but other than that its basically just the same as when you breed dogs to much you get the pug. Covered in cat like hair, but matted, and unclean like a BugBears. The hair clears up around the face a bit, a doggish snout sticking out of a humanoid face, bearing large canines,  making the average person flinch. There frames are tall, very tall, taller than the Bugbear ancestors had, and impossibly lanky, from shoulder to floor their hands and fingers drag along the wood, and most of the time, their spindly legs having to be bent to fit in a small room. Though being tall, they are very skinny, not only from the genes, but social class, most don't get normal meals, and ones that do are said to have "red canines". Another thing that can be considered red is their claws, starting early up the finger, and continuing down the finger, making for an Eerie sharp look. The frame of the Broggxi is mismatched with the high pitched and raspy tone of it's voice, and though most never learn to speak, the ones that have, never got to learn a lot. It's only saving grace is it's eyes, always beautiful in color, and hold a high value for looking like an oil slick, with the colors of the arcane swirling inside. If not feral by multiple means, you normally see them dead, or as servants, or in, and circuses.

Broggxi Traits

Genetic amalgamation.

Speed

Their running frame and terrible posture clash against each other, making their speed normal.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Long-Limbed

Their uncanny arms lets them reach a few feet further.

Weak Build

Due to their bean pole exterior, they can't carry much, making most stay light on clothing and items at most times. You almost never see a Broggxi in full armor.

Parinoid.

The Broggxi's eyes dart everywhere, scared to see what might hurt them. The skinny and flexible body allows the Broggxi to fit, uncomfortable at that, in spaces way to small for even normal humans.

Surprise Attack

With their sneaky tendencies, and sharp talons for fingers, any creature unfortunate enough to be a target for a sneak attack suffers more damage than expected.

Languages

Most Broggxi aren't able to learn languages, and those that are few and far between. Even so, the combined structure of Tabaxi and Bugbear makes the bones in the jaw, and cheekbones shape weirdly to make sounds, nonetheless, Broggxi are still able to learn 1 to 2 languages, even if 2 are rare for one.

Unkept Claws.

The Broggxi have unnaturally long fingers, in honestly you cant tell where the fingers end and claws begin. They grow rapidly and are most times dirty, grime imbedded under it, and sometimes blood.

Creature Type

Though most think of this creature as a beast, it has every capability of any humanoid, as it is just a REALLY tall bug bear basically.

Arcane Catalyst.

Due to the mixed magical roots of the Broggxi, magic can bend, distort, and even appear randomly around them. though its not much, it might help with effects put on the Broggxi itself. Though, as rumors have said, some can use the arcane around them to cast magic of their own, as if they are their own focus in wizard type casting, but most think it's a myth and or gossip.

Alignment

Living in a harsh world, you have to learn to survive. If not driven mad, Broggxi's are normally chaotic neutral.

Ability Score Increase

Their frame allows them to move in different ways, making them hard to pinpoint an attack on. Add a plus 3 to your Dexterity score.

Age

Broggxi's age groups are unknown, but are said to be similar to humans, but most don't make it past 25 for social reasons.
