Homebrew Displacer Beast Taur Species Details

Displacer beast taurs trace their origins to a twisted curse, one that befell a proud clan of blink dogs. These new humanoid blink dogs fell one by one, except for one wizard. This new wizard put a curse on the displacer beasts, as it believed the curse came from the beasts. Once noble protectors of the Feywild, these creatures were transformed into the sleek, predatory forms of displacer beasts by a powerful blink dog’s spiteful magic. Over generations, the curse deepened, blending their animalistic instincts with humanoid traits, giving rise to the very few displacer beast taurs.

These cursed beings are as varied in demeanor as they are in form. Some embrace their hunting prowess and roam the forests in feral packs, reveling in their role as apex predators. Others, burdened by the remnants of their cursed lineage, seek redemption or solitude, lingering near the edges of civilization.

The appearance of displacer beast taurs reflects their dual nature. Their panther-like lower bodies are sleek and powerful, with six legs that grant them an otherworldly grace. Their humanoid upper torsos are equally striking, covered in fine, black fur and crowned with glowing eyes that shift between intelligence and feral cunning.
