The Canun are humanoids with canine-like features. Most Canun are curious, joy-loving creatures who strive to bring happiness to others- though that is not always the case.

Blink Canun are slightly different than their relatives.

Physical Description

The Canun appear as dogs, wolves, coyotes, foxes, and other members of the canine species, while being bipedal. Some appear closer to human, while others retain their dog-like appearances. Most, on average, are shorter than humans, ranging from four to five feet tall, though select breeds can reach up to eight.

History

Over 300 years ago, the Feywilds leaked in strikingly large amounts. It was during this time that the Canun (along with other races) made their appearance, originating from the Feywilds as wild animals, who, upon reaching the material plane, took a more humanoid form- claiming to have no memory of their quadruped lives.

Since then, the Canun have integrated well into the societies of man, elves, and dwarves- working and playing among them as would any member of any species.

Society

Most Canun have integrated themselves into the society of others, or into small villages- they rarely live in a community of their own- although there is a well-known city of exclusively Canun residents. Not much is known about this city, due to the fact that only other Canun are allowed to enter.

The Canun typically have Sylvan names, in honor of the realm they came from. Others adopt names common in their community. A rare few, however, are named unfortunate pet names such as "Bingo" or "Wolf."

Blink Canun Traits

Blink Canun are slightly less diverse than Domestic Canun, but the exhange is worth it.

You gain an Ability Score in Dexterity and Charisma, with a third point to be spent where you wish.

Age

Typically, Canun live to be fifty before passing away. There are rare cases of the Canun living to be close to eighty.

Alignment

The Canun typically lean towards good, but as all people are, their alignment can be affected by how they grow.

Size

Most of the Canun race are smaller than most humans, though can be up to eight feet. Your size is medium.

Speed

The Blink Canun is slower than the average canun, having a speed of 25

Teleport

Using an action, you can blink out of existence in one place, and reappear 20 feet from where you left. When you use this, you can also use Bite as a free action.

You can use this twice per long rest. This increases to four uses upon reaching level 10.

Bite

Your canine-like teeth can tear skin, and do 1d4 damage.

Language

You can speak, read, and write Common, Sylvan, and Gnoll.
