Homebrew Cervian Courtwalker Species Details

Originating in the Feywild, the Courtwalkers are a royal lineage born to rule. They resemble satyrs to some extent, but Cervan Courtwalkers have massive deer antlers and armored limbs. They are also far bigger, with bushy tails.

The courtwalkers mature rapidly, but their growth is magical. Few courtwalkers awaken to their true form to obtain the massive bodies that are feared by so many.

Their minds have been proofed for royal tasks by the feywild - they resist magical intrusions into their dealings, and have an innate instinct for systems and positions of power, as well as how to keep them.

Cervian Courtwalker Traits

As a Cervan Courtwalker, you have the following traits.

Creature Type

You are a fey, instead of a humanoid.

Courtwalker Growth

Due to your inner growth as a courtwalker, each level grants you an additional hit point.

Antlerbone Carapace

Your limbs are covered with tough protrusions of antlerbone, that serves as a carapace to protect you.

While you are not wearing heavy armor, your AC increases by 1.

Tackle

Massive antlers adorn your head, and serve as natural weapons.

You can make a special unarmed strike with these antlers (or with the crown, using their weight), that deals 1d8+stength modifier bludgeoning damage, instead of the normal damage for an unarmed strike.

Magic Resistance

You have advantage on saving throws made against spells and magical effects.

Courtborn

To ensure a prosperous rule, you gain proficiency with Persuasion and Deception.

You also develop proficiency with a tool or musical instrument of your choice, to show your competence in the arts.
