Homebrew Crayfolk Species Details
The Crayfolk are a tribal people that reside in the shallows of the coasts, just where the reefs begin to thrive. They are at constant battle with Sahuagins, though the Crayfolk are far less aggressive and only fight in defense of their territory. They resemble crustaceans like crab and lobster, but are far bigger and resemble a much more humanoid form. Crayfolk share defining features with these creatures, sporting large mandible claws and a hard shell that makes up their body. Crayfolk are said to live twice the lifespan of a human’s at least. Some of the oldest Crayfolk known have live to roughly 250 years old. Unlike other species, Crayfolk never stop growing. They are born very small, but the largest among them can tower as big as Goliaths, and as such they have been dubbed by some the “Goliaths of the Sea”. Crayfolk tribes are very reserved and mind their own business, but this does not mean they shun outsiders. They are typically hospitable, though if a traveler proves to be a threat to them in any way, they will waste no time in removing them from their territory.
