Homebrew Avalonian Species Details

A race of people who found such an fondness to magic. Never have I seen a people so attuned to the Ley lines of the cosmos. Oh! How they strive for balance in all magic. If only the other races could understand what they know, how they feel, what they see beyond the veil.

Avalonians are an ancient race in comparison to the others. Their ties to magic gives them a special relationship with beings that yearn for its power. Being from another plane of existence, they are rarely seen outside their grand city. When they are, it is for good reason. 

Magic Has No Visage

With their gifts for Magic, Avalonians are more physically diverse than other common races. There is no typical Avalonian. An individual can stand from 3 feet to a little over 6 feet tall and weigh from 125 to 250 pounds. Avalonian are not defined by their physical characteristics but by the plane they were born on. They take the appearance similar to the parents, who could be of any race appearance, and only identify based on the Ley lines they touched. Avalonians rarely have a focused bloodline thus they can appear to be of any other race, but have striking differences due to the continuous mix of their blood from their melting pot of culture. Avalonians mature by their physical years that associate closest with there physical heritage.

Magic Above All

Avalonians are the most focused on the balance of magic among the common races. They have very rarely travel outside the Grand City of Avalon. When they travel it is solely for the purpose of balancing magic in other planes: they defeat grand demons, aid mighty devils, overthrow ancient gods, aid new heroes, and usher in new ages all in the name of Balance. An Avalonians will live a long life averaging out to 900 years old, and this gives them a great memory for passing knowledge to the next generations. Avalonians rarely travel in groups, one will usually aid other races in the restoration event that currently takes place on the plane they traveled to.

Avalonians have no common names. Generally they are named by their parents and hold names similar to their physical appearance of the other races.
