Homebrew Dire Man Species Details

Found throughout the multiverse, Dire Men are as varied as humanity, but far less numerous. They are often described as a distilled version of humanity, if not the truest sense of humanity. They are primal, and often savage, earning the name "Dire" fairly, sporting larger canine teeth, thicker brow ridges, higher cheekbones, and thicker, more robust body proportions and plentily body hair. But though they are a larger, more primally built version of humanity, they share humanity's ambition, resourcefulness, and other human characteristics, even if it is on the wild side. 

Dire Men are as diverse in appearance as the people of Earth, and lean towards nature as a rule rather than cities. Scholars dispute the origin of Dire Men but one of the earliest known human gatherings is said to have occurred in Sigil, the torus-shaped city at the center of the multiverse and the place where the Common language was born. From there, humans could have spread to every part of the multiverse,  where Dire Men evolved on more dangerous and savage planets. Or perhaps Dire Men came first, and when they found Sigil, the City of Doors, they evolved for a more cosmopolitan existence. Either way, Dire Men are often seen as less than by other humans, much to the ire of the Dire Men, and the danger of their smaller cousins.
