Spiderfolk Traits

Size

Spiderfolk are typically 4-5 feet in size. Your size is Medium.

Spider Movement

Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a climbing speed of 30 feet.

Spiderfolk can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

If all of your arms are empty, you can move on all 8 limbs to navigate difficult terrain without having to use twice as much speed.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in Darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in Darkness, only shades of gray.

Arachnid Anatomy

As a Spiderfolk, you are an arachnid. 4 limbs function as legs, the other 4 as arms. While only 2 arms can use weapons (or a weapon and shield), the other 2 arms are highly versatile. They can use tools, help with climbing, reloading bows and crossbows, and other menial tasks. To wield a two handed weapon, all 4 arms must be used. To wield a heavy weapon, at least 3 arms must be used.

Bite

Your spider fangs act as a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1D4 + your Dexterity modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. Once per long rest, you may add 1D4 poison damage to the damage roll of a bite attack.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Intelligence score increases by 1.

Web Benefits

Web Sling: Twice per short or long rest, you may use your action to shoot a web string up to 25 feet away from you in any direction. You are then brought to that point, whether it be on a floor, wall, ceiling, etc. You must make a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw to determine if any creatures may perform an opportunity attack while you are zooming through the air.

Web: Twice per long rest, you may shoot a web at a single target: Ranged Weapon Attack: Range 30/60 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is Restrained by webbing. As an action, the Restrained target can make a DC 10 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 3; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to poison, and psychic damage).

Web Sense: While in contact with a web, Spiderfolk know the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.

Web Walker: Spiderfolk ignore Movement restrictions caused by webbing.
