Homebrew Cubeling Species Details

Whether as the result of a curse from a deity or the natural evolution of ooze-based species in the wild, cubelings are a Humanoid species whose bodies are as amorphous as they desire due to the makeup of their bodies being fluidic. Their bodies are not only malleable, but also they possess no internal organs, instead being a magically unified single being with protoplasm within.

Without a traditional origin, cubelings do not often organize communities but rather are found amongst other species, masquerading as one of them and only revealing their amorphous natures to those they trust most.

As a Cubeling, you have these special traits.

Viscous Skin

You have Resistance to Bludgeoning damage.

Elastic Reach

When you make a melee attack on your turn, your reach for it is 5 feet greater than normal.

Expansive Explosion

You can explode your body outward, bludgeoning all creatures near you. As an Action, you can make an Unarmed Strike against each creature in a 10-ft. Emanation. On a hit, a target takes 2d6 + your Strength modifier in Bludgeoning damage. You can use this feature once before finishing a Long Rest.

Fluid Physique

You can assume a different form, taking on the shape and physique of a member of the opposite sex that you are as an Action. Any creature familiar with you will still recognize you despite the changes.
