Homebrew [HB] Cephaloid Species Details

Deep in oceans of many different worlds are a species of creatures known as the Cephaloid, a far off and distant descendant of Illithids, known much more commonly by the name of Mind Flayers. Not many know how or why the Illithids made Cephaloids, but most believe them to be signs of encroaching danger; which has caused the Cephaloid to take advantage of their natural amphibious lifestyle to stay away from the masses. Retreating into the depths of the ocean, where only few other sea-dwelling creatures have seen or even talked to them. When Cephaloids have been encountered in more populated areas, most retreat from them in fear of potential danger, others whom decided not to run in terror have met a wide array of characteristics and personalities. Although one constant seems to ring true between most, caution of others carries through, even in the most innocent of interactions.
