Homebrew Avali Species Details

Avali are small, cute, furred raptor-like creatures, covered primarily in fur, but with patches of feathers mixed in. Avali are social and agile, and are very skilled with ranged weapons, but are often on the lower side of the strength scale. Avali originate from the frozen moon of Avalon, a wasteland with an average temperature of -50° Celsius. Avali have ammonia based bodies, making them able to thrive in temperatures where other creatures would almost certainly freeze to death. Avali are quite technologically advanced, and are almost always good with machinery. Avali have winged arms, which allow them to glide short distances. Avali have two sets of ears, and have amazing hearing. Superficially resembling a cross between a large rabbit and a turkey, Avali stand bipedally, with digitigrade poise. They are covered from head to toe in feathers of varying length, possess two large wings with rudimentary digits at the wrist/hand enabling them to manipulate objects dexterously, while also possessing 4 long, rabbit-like ears. The average Avali's lifespan is about 80 Avalonian years, or 310 Earth years.
