Homebrew Caimen Species Details
If you’re considering taking a scaled one along on an adventure, remember this important fact. The strange, inhuman glint in its eyes as it looks you over is the same look you might give a freshly grilled steak.

Your Strength increases by 2 and you can increase one other trait by 1
Age

Cold Adverse
Your body cannot handle cold temperatures very well, as your high metabolism slows down rapidly, you become sluggish and your reflexes weaken. Any physical checks or saving throws made while you are in a cold environment are made at disadvantage, your swim speed drops to 30 feet, and you take additional damage from ice elemental magic or breath attacks.

Bite
Your fanged maw is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. The strike increases to 1d8+ strength at level 6, and 1d10+ strength at level 11.
Savage Death Roll
In combat, upon making a bite attack, you can use your bonus action to chain it to a grapple. Once per short rest if the grapple is successful, you can do a death roll on any creature your size or smaller. The targeted creature must succeed a dexterity save of 15 or be immediately pulled prone for an additional 3d6+ strength piercing damage. Additionally, you can drag this target up to 10 feet upon a failed dexterity save. This damage can increase to 3d8 at level 6, and 3d10 at level 11.
Veracious eater
During battle, should you trigger a death roll on any organic creature, and kill it, you can heal for 1d6+ your constitution modifier and consider yourself well fed for the next 8 hours.
Hold Breath
You can hold your breath for up to an hour underwater.
Primal Hunter
You gain proficiency with two of the following skills of your choice: Animal Handling, Nature, Perception, Stealth, and Survival. Additionally, stealth checks made while submerged in water are made at advantage.
Natural Armor
You have tough, scaly skin. When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC is 14+ your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield’s benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
