Homebrew Crawling Claw (Playable Species) Species Details
Crawling Claw (Playable Race)
Crawling Claws are severed hands given unlife through dark rituals, necromantic mishaps, or cursed intent. Though tiny and voiceless, they are cunning, mobile, and terrifyingly persistent. Many are remnants of once-powerful spellcasters, assassins, or warriors — now reduced to a single piece of themselves that refuses to die.
While some Claws retain fragments of their former selves, others are entirely new minds formed from willpower and spite. They skitter through shadows, cling to clothing, and strike with eerie precision. Their strange existence often provokes fear or fascination, and though they may lack a body, their ambitions are anything but small.
No one is entirely sure where the first Crawling Claw came from — some say a cursed wizard's hand escaped their grave, others whisper that they serve a god of vengeance. Whatever their origin, Crawling Claws can now be found wherever dark magic festers… or wherever someone forgot to lock the necromancy drawer.
