Homebrew Andromeda Species Details
Since the concept of existing began, the idea that stars held the souls of those fallen have persisted. From Orion being immortalized upon death to the Trojan prince Ganymedes, this idea has prevailed, but does it hold weight? In the case of the Andromeda, it does. Shooting stars are said to be the cause of their existence, that the eyes of those who glance upon them are met by the soul encased within it, and by extension a host is chosen and subsumed by the stars divinity. They are children of the stars, born from their divine mass and slated to die among them, their souls fizzling out in a supernova, leaving not a trace of their existence.
Andromeda Traits
You are a being born and sharped from the moon and stars, your being attuned to its divinity.Resistance
You are resistant to both radiant and necrotic damage.
Ability Score Increase
You are imbued with the knowledge and wisdom of the stars, as a result you gain an ability score increase of 2 to your wisdom stat.
Void Drifter
You are naturally attuned to the lack of gravity found within space, and as a result are no longer under the constraint of gravity within a space. As a result, the Andromeda rarely every walk, but have a constant flying speed of 35 ft
Darkvision
As a being born of the void of space, your eyes are naturally attuned to darkness, granting your darkvision for up to 120 ft. As a result of your attunement however, your eyes burnt out by the light of the star by which you were born, you can only see in shades of monotone and cannot discern colour.
Lunar Blessing
As a result of your origins, you are capable of learning and using an extended list of spells at certain levels, able to manipulate the moon and both its light and gravitational pull to bend the world to its will. These spells don't require spell slots and can be casted once before needing to take a long rest.
The spells learnt are as follows:
2nd level: Moonbeam
3rd level: Haste, Slow
6th level: Gravity Fissues
7th level: Reverse Gravity, Tether Essence
9th level: Ravenous Void
Star Speaker
Those of the void are one with the void, and as a result, you are able to communicate, read and write in more languages than most, those being Common, Primordial and Celestial.
