Homebrew Axolittle Species Details
Small semi-aquatic species that recently emerged from the Marsh of Chelimber. They weren't seen until a century ago and are often mistaken for scaleless kobolds. They are powerful advocates against pollution thanks to Axolight, the god of axolotls, marshes, and clean waters.
They have small, vestigial teeth and are carnivores/pescetarians, mainly eating worms, insects, fish, slugs and snails, crustaceans, other salamanders, and tadpoles.

Regeneration
Axolittles can regrow almost any part of their body, including their limbs, organs, and brain. Some have even regenerated body parts multiple times without scarring.

If a part of your body is lost, the DM will tell you how long until it is completely grown back.
Superior Darkvision and Sunlight Sensitivity
Axolittles prefer the dark and have poor eyesight, so they can see in the dark better than in bright light.
Accustomed to life underwater, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.
