Homebrew 魚人 (Gyojin) Species Details

The 魚人 is native to 佐渡 but can be found all over the world as they are great swimmers. They developed lungs and gills so they could traverse both land and water. If they spend more than 50 hours out of water they dry out, which then are incapacitated and take 1d6 damage an hour until a party member submerges them in water. No matter the type of fish they can live in both fresh and salt water.

The Standard Languages table lists languages that are widespread on D&D worlds. Every player character knows Common, which originated in the planar metropolis of Sigil, the hub of the multiverse. The other standard languages originated with the first members of the most prominent species in the worlds of D&D and have since spread widely.
