Homebrew cloepteradins Species Details

Descendants of mostly druids that hail from arid desert climates. The main connection to nature they had was the sparse plants, and many insects. A particular insect was the beetles, admired with their thought nature, resilience, and variety, which made them popular among the druids. They made deep connections with these creatures, learning the ability to in-body them, in a practice of binding. It begins with the youth raising and bonding with their chosen type of beetle. These beetles tend to live longer than average ones with the help of magic, slowing their life cycles. When the beetle and caretaker reach the age of early adulthood, the beetle is placed on the chest of the caretaker, binding their bodies and souls. Throughout 3 weeks the bonded individual will start to physically change, these changes vary from person to person. Some grow wings that allow limited flight, other’s grow a new set of arms, antenna, and horns. But they all share through skin and a resistance to hot climates. After their transformation is complete they leave their tribes in search of adventures, only returning after they've completed a grand quest, to prove themselves as worthy members of their tribes
