Homebrew Ailurus Species Details

The Ailurus are a red panda race that varies from the more feral appearance to the anthropomorphic characteristics. Hailing from the mountains of Kara-Tur, this species is a bit of a mystery on how they came to be. The Ailurus that often colonize the mountains tend to seclude themselves from the world. They are overall a very friendly and gentle race, but they will not back down from a fight either. Their diet is mostly herbivorous, but they do enjoy eating fish and roasted lizard from time to time. Like their ancestors, the Ailurus are adept at agility, stealth, and climbing. They have an adventurous spirit within them, though they prefer to do their wandering during the twilight hours through the early hours of morning. The sun is considered perfect for bathing in the warmth and napping. The biggest part of being an Ailurus though, is their ability to shape change into humanoid beings, but they normally retain their animalistic ears and tails in this form.
